University Archives & Special Collections

The Central Louisiana Collections consists of records, papers, and collections of families and organizations that tell the story of life in Central Louisiana.   All researchers are welcome.

Policies for University Archives and Central Louisiana Collections of Louisiana State University at Alexandria

• No one may be admitted to the archive without permission or knowledge of the archivist.
• Researchers will be admitted to the archive by appointment only.
• No food or drink allowed in the Reading Room.
• See separate policy for reproduction guidelines.

Archivist shall deem all documents containing sensitive information, such as social security numbers, to be redacted in order to make such information unreadable.  In cases where documents containing sensitive information will be dispositioned from the archive, those records will be shredded.
